Kingfisher (Kotare)

Our NZ kingfisher. Not up to Poobah's standard but I'm just pleased to photograph one at all. I did get a few of him with a crab in his mouth but they weren't clear enough to publish.

Stayed in Nelson last night. Kiwilizzie had an appointment at the optician so we had breakfast in Richmond beforehand. Did a bit of shopping and then went down to the Waimea estuary to take some photos. Late lunch at "The Honest Lawyer" afterwards.

Home now, shopping away, fire lit, blip taken care of, so it's time to settle in with my book.
