Tree Pipit

He was singing away in the morning light, as thankful as the rest of us that the snow has disappeared again! The woods were full of birdsong and bullfinches, tits, pipits and thrushes were all paired up. In the wet pasture, the Lapwings and Oystercatchers were still feeding and sitting despite yesterday's snow cover. Heard snipe and crossbills too.
Looking at the snow cover on the Cairngorms, it's no wonder it feels cold down here!
