Swimming at Compton Lock

This morning was another golden one and though the best of it went before lunchtime and got chilly I was out walking in enough time to catch the best of it. 

I've blipped at Compton Lock before, but I wanted to show you where we all used to take our kids swimming.  We were much too broke in those days to go regularly to the swimming pool and this was anyway far more fun!  Families still come here to picnic and swim and this year the powers that be have given in and built some rather nice wooden steps down to the water, which flows fast enough to be fun but is very shallow in this enclosed space.

Nothing much else to report.  Nice lunchtime and choir tonight.  A pretty good day, which I hope yours has been as well  xx
