Kings Day mayhem

John shares a birthday with King Willem - and the streets of Amsterdam turned into a giant market, and the canals were crammed with boats of orange-clad revellers. And the sun shone (though that cold wind didn't ease up!) We did retreat from the mayhem into the wonderful Hortus Botanicus for a couple of house in the afternoon
