Leaf and Stone

We prune this little Catalpa tree back hard each year and it always rewards us with bright new growth in the spring.  It is a bit old and a bit fallen over (comme moi!) so it can't bear the weight of lots of branches, but it looks good against the stone facade of our barn.  As the good weather returned, we gardened for most of the day, checking emails from time to time to find an "invitation to tender" which is always a good thing!
