Clouds gathering over Orford Ness

We had a couple of bracing walks today along the banks of the River Ore and the River Deben. There was a biting wind, but it mostly stayed sunny. The forecast had said there was a good chance of rain from the early afternoon and sure enough, as we returned towards Orford, clouds started to gather over the desolate shingle spit of Orford Ness. However, the rain never materialised and on the drive back we spotted many of the farms already irrigating their fields!
