Scars on the Mountains

Caught this on the news tonight- saddened by the recent arson attacks in my family's home town and surrounding areas. The place is so picturesque, I really don't understand why anyone would want to destroy it.
Ironically the valley's mountains have only recently rid themselves of the black remains of coal slag from the days of the mines.
More worryingly is the risk to others and the cost of Firebrigade call outs.
Busy day today, the exam season is only a day away!
