Baseball Game

This is a picture at my cousin’s baseball game. He is twelve years old and baseball is definitely his favorite sport.  He lives about an hour away from us, and we decided to make a trip to see one of his games.  We stopped at his house before the game to pick his mom up, and then we met the rest of our family at the field.  His team was the Pirates, and they were playing the Dodgers.  Everyone said that the Dodgers were the team to beat.  The game started off a little shaky when the Pirates let the Dodgers score five runs.  When the Pirates were up to bat, they had a hard time connecting their bats to the ball.  There were two players on base when my cousin, Jack, was up to bat.  Jack hit a line drive to the outfield, which put two runs on the scoreboard for the Pirates.  He was nicknamed “The RBI King.”  In the end the Pirates just couldn’t pull it off.  The score was close for a while, but in the last inning the Dodgers pulled ahead even farther.  The final score was 11-5.  It was sad to see his team lose, but it was good to see how much he enjoyed playing the game.
