Bako National Park

After a fantastic night hike in Bako our first night Lina and I explored the coastal trails today. 

It is humid and sticky here, like walking through a tropical greenhouse. But the real thing - this is Borneo. We wandered over gnarly ficus roots towering up to massive trees. Watching crabs scuttle across the exposed mud flats at low tide. And watched proboscis monkeys munch leaves lazily in the tree tops. 

Bako is a lovely and accessible place to take in a taste of Borneo exotic and sensual tropicana.
