A Day Just For Me in Hamburg...

I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning, packed Reef's lunch, prepared breakfast, quickly tried to pull myself together and get out of the house on time to catch my early bird flight to the north of Germany. I've been to Hamburg before but this trip was special - it was one of the rare occasions when I am totally on my own! My meeting was in the late afternoon which left the greater part of the day for aimless wandering around, shopping, quiet coffees and cheese cake ... the little things that never seem to fit into a 'normal' day. I thoroughly enjoyed : )

I have seen these padlocks that bear the names or initials of 2 people on bridges in both Germany and Austria- apparently they are put there as symbols of love and commitment...
