Early Morning in the Bluebell Wood
My friend B and I met early this morning to capture the magic of the bluebell wood up at Ashridge (Hertfordshire).
The sun was low and slanting into the wood through the delicate lime green leaves of the beech trees and illuminating small patches of bluebells bringing to life their deep lavender hues.
Having taken some photos we sat on a log with our flasks of tea, listening to the birds singing and a distant woodpecker hammering on a tree trunk and admiring the wonderful sight of bluebells surrounding us.
Mornings don't get better than this!
