A Year Ago Today…
Our first builders began work on the renovations and rebuilding of the back of the house; an on-going saga.
Today’s picture is of some leaves, which are just sprouting, not very interesting you might think. However, our first builders were asked to save both the Virginia creeper and the grape vine; both at least fifty years old growing all along the back of the house. The grape vine disappeared, it ‘broke up’ they said. There was a piece of Virginia Creeper, which they had laid in with the rubbish; I rescued and replanted it. It is my blip today to symbolise that although they ruined many things in the garden, this plant defied them.
