Selflessness...

Finishing up some jewelry shots today...this happens to be one of my favorite pieces...reminds me of Citrine....

Thinking about selflessness today. To me, I believe selflessness comes from within when you are truly happy w/ yourself - with where you are in life...when you stop being selfish and start putting others needs before you...giving of ourselves w/out thought of how we will profit or be rewarded.

Most of us do kind things for others - but deep down inside we expect recognition, thats not being selfless. If we sit there and calculate the benefit of every action, we hinder the spontaneous feelings of the heart. So what blocks most people - what makes them selfish? I personally think its the ego - selfish acts feed the ego, our pride, selflessness does the opposite...

I have a few selfish people around me and their actions are so inconsiderate, but what can I do to make them see how they are acting?!! Or the problem may be me...I think I may be too selfless at times...too understanding, too nice...
