Memorial Carvings

These are the memorial carvings (2008), set into the wall of the extended Church Hall of St.Peter's Parish Church in Addingham, Nr. Ilkley.  They commemorate the burials of the Saxon ancestors of Addingham, and are inscribed with a text adapted from the Venerable Bede : “We cannot be so wise, That we have no need to consider, What will be decided for our souls”.
A poignant quotation which I rather liked.
