It's a Start!

A Redstart to be precise. The start in this case is from the Anglo-Saxon word for tail. Not my first sighting of the year, but I had taken my long lens with me today in the hope of capturing one. This isn't quite the shot I was hoping for - it was just too far away, but even at this distance, the striking plumage of this beautiful bird is unmistakeable. I'm hoping I can get a better shot of it before the season is over.
