Saying good-bye

We spent the day with family at the funeral of my cousin, Brant.  He was a lovely, talented and gentle man who loved his bride of 61 years no matter what life threw at them.
Together they raised six children, and after he retired they traveled to every one of the United States and enjoyed 27 years of retirement.  He commented shortly before he died about what a great life he had...and today we celebrated it.
This is a  photo of one of the cruises they took....you can see how happy he was, just to be there.

Brant and I shared maternal grandparents, who are pictured in my extra photo today.  Both of them had passed away before I turned one.
