Sugary
The evening sun was shining on an African Violet we have in our kitchen. The petals almost glisten, as though they have been dipped in sugar.
Having read in a newspaper article that it is still not too late to prune buddleia, I rushed out this afternoon to cut ours back. This was quite a daunting task, as the bush was nearly ten feet tall! However, it is amazing what can be achieved with a little determination!
An hour later, the green bin was full of the chopped-up buddleia, and the bush is now less than a third of its former height.
And after that I decided to make an old fashioned Eve's Pudding - this was much appreciated by JF, as I don't think I have made a pudding or dessert since Easter!!
