Largely frustrating trip to Birmingham today.  The pain was eased by a splendid lunch at Pure and a quick look in the Museum (see above) before getting messed about by Network Rail on the way home.  Anyway, I caught most of the Mahler at the Phil, albeit from the back, and then a couple in the Belvedere made more amends.
