Fidra Shore

Up early and Juno walked up the hill.

Eco son and I headed down the coast for a paddle.

Being early the sea was flat calm with a dropping tide. A wonderful paddle over reefs covered in urchins and through kelp beds. The birds were active with puffins, tysties and razorbills, A few stops to get the foot rests sorted and it was Fidra bound. A walk up to the lighthouse through the gulls and shags. We sat and watched the puffins around their burrows.

Back to the kayaks and round the top of the island and onto the beach for lunch. A paddle back through the building wind and incoming tide.

A fabby day and a very confident eco son. I was on edge always assessing the risks. The water temp was low.

Home and to football, a good win and a great team spirit.
