Floating Upwards
An indoor day, not been out of the house until I saw Jnr Jnr blowing bubbles - quick, emergency blip!
Although, given it was the first day of the half-term break, I spent all morning catching up with some assessment data for school - one job out of the way.
I then tried out a recipe for tiger bread that didn't work as expected. Rose nicely, just didn't taste like tiger bread :-\
I then searched high and low for components to run my new time-wasting gadget that was delivered early last week: a Raspberry Pi. An old Mac keyboard/mouse, the HDMI cable from the PS3, a patch cable, one my camera SD cards, the cable from my mobile phone and the charging plug from the remote controlled aeroplane all combined nicely to get it up and running on the lounge TV. For £25 I am pretty impressed, can see what all the fuss is about now - great for young 'uns to use and program proper computers. Jnr Snr showed some interest so I'll see if she'll stick at it.
However, I've realised that I have forgotten an incredible amount of the UNIX commands I used to be able to do in my sleep in my previous life an a professional IT geek. Time for some revision I think .......
