Saltwell Park

Saltwell Park, based in the heart of Gateshead, is one of Britain's finest examples of a Victorian Park. It encompasses 55 acres of landscapes, woodland and recreational facilities.
The lake is home to a variety of ducks and in the summer offers peddaloes and rowing boats for hire. There are two wonderful children's playgrounds and Pets Corner.
