May Day ....May Day .... May Day!


I was awake at dawn this May morning - and thought about climbing Arthur's Seat to bathe my face in the dew and allow the sun 's dawning rays to dry me into a new visual youthfulness!  I then thought about the temperature and had more sensible thoughts!

A morning of working at home was followed by more work meetings in town this afternoon before meeting up with one of my oldest friends for a welcome weekending pint.

I took this blip in St Andrews Square as a contrail saltire dissolved over a limp Union Flag - only a week to go now until the General Election.

I went into and out of town by train today - and made a short film for my grandson as he likes travelling into town by train too! 

On my way home, I had to ask the way to platform 8E.The answer surprised me as it turned out I had asked the person who was about to drive this train and on the way to platform 8E he told me that he was looking forward to learning the new Borders rail route, when test and training trains start running in June, ahead of the official opening of the line on 5th September, 2015.
