New wheels

This is my lovely new bike which I picked up yesterday. It's an early anniversary present from David (he has one too - his present from me). We took them out for a spin last night. Taking an unknown path which turned out to be really narrow, I suddenly found myself falling into a bush which seemed to be largely made up of nettles- ouch! There were no dock leaves in sight - just my luck!. My hand was still stinging this morning so I googled ways to treat a nettle sting and discovered some potential remedies. I discounted the first (urinating on it!) and instead spread a paste of baking soda and water on the sting which did the trick. Will be back in the saddle later - and sticking to main paths!
