Surreptitious snapper

I spent a large part of the day doing things that require two hands, since next week's surgery will put one of mine out of action for a while. According to the surgeon, the bandage will "look like it belongs in a cartoon". 

One of today's chores was finalising my application to college. I had to blow my own bugle about why they should let me join the course. Amongst other things, I wrote that I "regularly prowl the streets of Edinburgh surreptitiously looking for people to shoot". I've pressed the 'send' button now, but on reflection it probably makes me sound a bit weird. 

On the task list for tomorrow is having a haircut. It'll be much easier to look after with one hand if it's only half an inch long.
