The Flotilla

Are these Canadian Geese? I thought they were ducks but when I checked the bird book to identify them, there were none with the black neck and paler chinstrap.  However,  they look awfully like the picture of a Canada goose.

Blip mate and I went for a short walk into the Abel Tasman National Park this morning. It was a glorious day and the tide was just past the turn. The light which we were facing into, was so strong that most of my scenes were more silhouettes - apart from one, which is identical to the one that Blipmate Riwaka7 posted and these birds. 

Partway along the track we stopped to admire the view and a whole flock of these geese/ducks flew past at eye level. Of course neither of us had our camera ready.
