Double Take.

As I looked through the window just after midnight, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. I could see two moons. At first I thought it was an effect of the drops I have been putting in my eye every 4 hours, or was I about to be beamed up into space  by this ball of light. I took a couple of shots thinking the camera wouldn't lie, although I know it does sometimes, and the two images were still there. I then realised I was looking through double glazing at an angle and the light was refracting through the glass and reflected internally off the two surfaces causing the second image to appear, an optical effect. I was a bit cross with myself by being so slow on the uptake !  I have never noticed this before, but maybe it's because the double glazing in my new flat is about 15 mm apart, whereas before it was quite close.
