Funny money - the new polymer bills

Linda got one of the new polymer $50 bills from the bank yesterday. Canada has begun to convert from paper to polymer this year. They look pretty cool. Lots of holograms and other security features including the clear sections on which the holograms appear. The late Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King is featured on the front and the Canadian Research Icebreaker CCGG Amundsen on the back.

The bill is a bit redder than pictured but I wanted to highlight the holograms. More images and info below:
