Peregrine Falcon

This is not the best picture I have ever taken, I shall be first to confess, and it is actually a picture of a monitor screen, so I am cheating a bit, for it is a rare event and a rare opportunity.
This is a female Peregrine on a nest high up on the steeple tower of St James' Parish church Louth.
She is incubating three eggs and lies flat and virtually motionless, whilst the male is hunting in the vicinity. This is the third year that the falcons have been here, but the first time they have nested, encouraged by the placement of a shallow box on the roof.
