Away with the fairies

A lovely day at Strawberry Fair on Midsummer Common in Cambridge where they went for (and achieved) the world record for the number of people dressed as fairies in one place at the same time. I was not one of them, but you can see from this photo that young, old, men, women (and there were a few fairy dogs!) made a real effort.

Met up with fellow blipper Scotchlass and her fab offspring which was really nice, listened to some great music in the acoustic tent where Roland stayed all afternoon while I went off snapping.

And we hobnobbed with royalty, although we didn't know it at the time. One of the women who was on the same train as us going across to Cambridge ended up being crowned Fairy Queen.
