Sea shells.
There were lots of these delicate little shells washed up on the beach. They had all floated up to the high water mark so I gathered them up and arranged them into a circle. They are actually a buoyancy organ from the Spirula squid , also known as the Rams horn squid which is a deep water species. Quite a few squids had died to provide all these shells.
