Queenhithe Mosaic
A detail of the Queenhithe mosaic on the north bank of the Thames slightly seaward of the Tate footbridge. This mosaic was commissioned by the City of London Corporation and designed and constructed by Southbank Mosaics. I was here as it was being put up and possibly blipped it back then too. The whole thing is 30 x 1 meters and chronicles London from the first beginnings to the present day.
I'm not an entirely neutral observer as my brother-in-law has built up, and now runs, Southbank mosaics but I'd have been mightily impressed even without the family connection!
