Foulness Island

M.O.D owned, Foulness Island is opened to the general public only 6 times a year. Inhabited by approx 200 people, the island is used by the MOD to test military devices such as mines, bombs, shells etc... There was once 3 pubs on the island, all now closed. There is only 1 shop that doubles as a post office. The only school closed several years ago.
