Getting a fat lady down the stairs

The 'fat lady' is The Lord of the Glen, the biggest object to cruise Loch Ness apart from you know who. She has to breathe in a bit to get through some of the canal locks, like the Muirton Locks pictured here. You wouldn't want her to scrape her bottom, would you?
