Hiding

As well as loving chasing Matthew loves hiding. Here he was absolutely delighted with his hiding spot 'behind' the living room door and in giggles as daddy pointedly looked elsewhere for him.

Another early start at 6:10 and it's amazing how long that makes the morning stretch but it's a trade off with better sleeping (just one wake most nights now and easily settles) and easier bedtimes. He actually let me leave the room after just 5 minutes sitting quietly with barely a complaint this evening! So impressed.

His questionnaire for his 27 month development check with the health visitor arrived today (well 25.5 to 28.5 month check - his is actually scheduled for about 26 months). Had fun reading all the questions. He's certainly got all the communication and gross motor skills sections sorted already. But we had some fun playing at jumping round the living room to double check he really can jump forwards at least 3 inches (easily). Lots of bouncing! And the other best thing to play with this afternoon was a tape measure - looks like he's about 87 cm tall.
