A view from Castlerigg

We decided to head up to the lakes and take advantage of the weather to try our luck at getting some shots. The sky was lovely and clear due to the previous nights rain and heading thru Ambleside it didn't disappoint, so we decided to continue north to Keswick and in particular the Castlerigg Stone Circle.

However when we got there, the weather closed in on us - not good!! But after travelling all that way....patience was in order - landscape photography demands that and as the time drifted on, so the clouds lifted and some cracking shots were to be had looking over to the mountains.

However no sooner had we got the shots we wanted, the mist descended, and the rain came on - time for a coffee and cake!!
