Horse Chestnut Spring Growth

I have had a long day today, traveling to Dublin to visit my Dad in the nursing home. Because of diversions on the roads and engineering works on the railway I finished up having to drive the whole way there and back. The result of this is that I am wrecked tired.
I am posting this blip and then relaxing for the rest of the evening. Mind you as it's now already almost 10pm there isn't much of an evening left.
What you are looking at here is the base of a horse chestnut tree where some new shoots have decided to sprout.
