Free Flight

A Broad-billed Hummingbird in free flight. He is showing some signs of thirst by sticking out his tongue, if ever so slightly!

The photo was taken at the Santa Rita Lodge wildlife area in Madera Canyon.  It is located in the Coronado National Forest, fifteen miles southeast of Green Valley, Arizona.
