My flower
E and I spent much of the day at the Scottish Gardening show. It was freezing at Ingliston - a very snell east wind. Much time was spent in the Floral Hall, looking at plants, buying plants, looking at food and drink - and sampling the eats and drinks. I bought a pair of French secateurs, a fuchsia, a bottle of Italian wine (degree success present for E), 6 plugs and a jar of artichoke pasta dressing. Taylors didn't have my clematis in stock. I left mine at la G. It's probably dead by now so I'll have to make do with a photo, for now.
There was no sign of the weather improving as we left, except you could see the sun was shining on Fife. We stopped off for a Jubilee afternoon tea (one between 2) in Juniper Green where bunting and balloons were on display.
Tonight I started on the house - brassoed the fender, vacuumed, dusted and then, inspired by the Stills July course list fiddled with Photoshop. Cropped and water colour effect and a few other adjustments. I'll need to get the book out again! The cloud was eventually pushed south and the sun weather invaded from Fife so it was a bright end to the day.
The Meadows Festival is on this week-end. I've never been and I couldn't remember where I was this week-end last year. Of course Blip told me - I was in KL. Now how could I forget that?
