Mythical beast or work-horse?

Bank holiday Monday and the first dry day of the weekend - so off to the Helix park (along with many others with the same idea!).   We had a blustery walk in the sunshine.

This is my first chance to get up close and personal with the Kelpies, although we have passed them on the motorway many times.   They really are quite magnificent sculptures - we were sure that at any moment their heads would move, they are so full of life.
