The Old Beetham Post Office

Day 10 (and last) of the Westmoreland Way, from Crooklands to Arnside. We bought ice creams here in Beetham - the first day it has been warm enough to want them! The sign over the door dates the building to 1881.

Highlights of the day were Fairy Steps above Beetham, the view from Arnside Knott, and of course the sunshine. Our guest house for the night is especially comfortable, with a great view across Morecambe Bay, and we're looking forward to dinner before the train journey home tomorrow.
