Today's the day .......................... to do your own thing

We have three runner bean plants in our garden that are now sporting these very chic-looking flowers.

The amazing thing is that they were never planted - at least not this year.  They must have grown from seeds off last year's plants that somehow got themselves into the soil.  Then, having managed to survive all through the winter, they just did what seeds are supposed to do - grew into broad bean plants.

The natural world is a constant joy, isn't it .........................?
