I often wonder, when passing Swanswater Fishery on a cold wet winter's day, what attraction there is in angling. I expect fishing on a fine warm day like today and catching a couple of beauties like these more than makes up for the cold and wasted hours.
The fisherman to whom these belong was landing one in his net just as we passed and he was happy for me to snap his day's catch.
