Enjoying Time On The Common.

Stourbridge Common by the river Cam is now classed as a Local Nature Reserve. Areas of the common land are being are being managed to encourage diversity of animal and plant species. The grazing of cattle forms part of this effort. Today I was walking my daughter's dog ( who is a townie) and as I wasn't sure how he would react to the animals, I stayed on the opposite towpath where we had a nice walk by the river in the sunshine. The river footpaths  actually go as far as King's Lynn, a distance of about 50 miles. The little dog on the opposite bank didn't seem bothered by the cattle who ignored him anyway. Too busy chomping away at the lush grass.
