In the Pink 2
It was a public holiday today, and I decided to take the day off. G was working, so had to get up at his normal time of 7am, but was wide awake at 5.30am, and so was I.
We both got up at 6, and I made myself coffee and toast and headed back to bed with my book for another couple of hours. A wee read and a wee snooze, and then a burst of intensive housework later, before uploading the birthday party photos to Truprint.
It was a beautifully sunny day, so we had a little potter in the garden after I hung up the washing, then I had a hair appointment booked for 3pm. Sadly, it was made at the last minute, and not with my regular girl. Thus, I am now sporting a cross between a mullet and a page-boy, with a fringe so short that G burst out laughing when he saw it.
Luckily, I no longer make any pretence of being either trendy or alluring, and I daresay it will grow out before long. I must make a decision about what I'm going to do with it though - long or short? Blonde or grey? Actually no - grey will never never never happen to this head!
Was coming home from the last branch meeting before GE2015 tonight, and as I was on my way along Glenearn Road the entire length of the street is adorned with these beautiful mature cherry trees in full blossom, and behind them the sky was a wonderful pink as the sun set. Lovely, and it really made me glad not to be sitting in front of the telly, where I'd have missed it.
Back to work tomorrow.
