American White Pelicans

The first pair of pelicans has arrived at the nearby ponds!  I have been seeing them soaring in the air for the past few weeks so I knew I would find them here soon.  It was a dreary day with rain on and off so I didn't spend much time.  There are usually several of them who spend the summer on the ponds so I'll have plenty of time to watch them without getting wet.  Interesting information about them is available here.  :-)
