Book Club camp

Here we are , 7 out of 10 members of my book club who came to camp this year. It was a mixed rain and sun day- we did some yoga, had a marvelous breakfast, and we were all set to go out in boats or take a walk this morning when the heavens opened up, so we headed to the studio instead! Everyone found something fun to make. Here are works in progress..... The sun came out in the afternoon so we thought we'd take our portrait on the beach - but it was TOO sunny! too contrasty. So we're using this one.

Everyone hasn't quite finished the book so our "formal discussion" will be tomorrow. I'll report. One of the best parts of discussing books is what every person 's personal experience brings to it.

We did get out in boats or walk in the sparkling sun. In the last 18 years that we have had camp, I have tried to get them to be enthused about the sport of rowing. :-) well, today I only managed to get one person to row with me in the Alden, and 2 went kayaking, before the next round of showers. And another excellent dinner!
