Blue-cheeked Bee-Eater
Very exciting to see at least 15 of these birds high in the sky over me(which is why the quality of the photograph is a bit below par) Apparently they fly over night at very high altitude from Asia on their migration and land in lush green semi-tropical areas of Africa & the Middle East. I could see that they were something special by their wing shape even though they were high in the sky-and they are! I witnessed the first lot of Blue-cheeked Bee-Eaters looking for a nice place to spend the months of May & June in! Plenty of Dragonflies, Hornets, bees and crickets to eat here. Can't wait to get a better photograph of one a bit closer!
