One million litres of oil
As well as our wonderful community shop, we also have an oil buying cooperative in our village. Brian, pictured here, is the man who organises this. Every month he finds out who needs oil and then he negotiates with the local suppliers for the best price.
Recently the 1,000,000th litre was delivered. He was given this oil tanker on a plinth to commemorate the event.
Today Mum had an optician's appointment. Her very recently made specs have to go back to increase the strength of the prisms. Hopefully that will stop the double vision that is so troublesome. Both her shoulders are painful today. Tomorrow she has an asthma check in the morning and a GP appointment in the afternoon. We are becoming experts in assessing waiting rooms and the quality of reading materials!
