Newcastle Bridge

After a rainy day at work, the clouds finally cleared and the sun actually shone...
I got the metro to the centre then had a stroll in the sun along the Quayside. I particularly love this view as you come down the street called The Side and get your first glimpse of the Tyne bridge. I love seeing the beautiful old building with the bridge above it.
I met my friend Ruth at The Broad Chare for a catch up over dinner. Instead of one main meal we had a table filled with "bar snacks" which were delicious. We were full but still couldn't resist both ordering the Earl Grey tea flavoured ice-cream. Both very full now,but it was worth it! A wonderful pub/restaurant, I'll definitely be back again. Too many good restaurants in Newcastle to have the time to visit them all! :))
