Meadow

Busy day with a car service and kitchen planning, but early evening I had a lovely walk with Reggie through the meadow at St Ives.  It was breezy so the grass was billowing, and the dandelions and plantains were abundant and it was just beautiful. Reggie went with one ball and came back with two, and it felt like summer was just around the corner. Then as I got home we had a torrential shower, so perhaps I was a bit previous with the seasons.

Made 5 jars of spiced rhubarb today. Mr H thought it was Christmassy, Miss H thought it was revolting and I think it would make a great substitute for Mango Chutney, and also be lovely with Pork.  Running out of jam jars and given we are about to rip out the kitchen I think I may need to slow down on the preserves..... or eat them up a bit quicker.

Also just need to mention that it is 42 years today since Sunderland won the FA Cup, I remember it like it was yesterday.
